Life at EPS: Phoebe Clarke

Jun 15, 2018

What area of EPS do you work in?

Technology (specifically Data Tech).

What do you enjoy most about working at EPS?

How fun and interesting it is. Each person is working on something cool and is happy to talk to you about it. I have a lot of laughs with my team, and actually look forward to coming to work (shocking, I know :) )!

Tell us about a project you are most proud of and why?

I started working here as an intern, and as part of my internship I had to create an evaluation system for one of our existing products. This system had real value to others working here and is used by teams other than ours. I was very proud to have created something with real use, and so soon into my employment.

Tell us about a person who has supported your development? And how?

Every person I’ve worked with has supported me in some way. Whether it’s been through direct mentorship, friendship, or even just a few words of encouragement when I’ve doubted myself, I’ve had nothing but positivity since starting here.

How does EPS support your work/life balance?

As everyone is so open and friendly, I know when I run into issues I can turn to others for help. For instance, if a team has recently faced a similar problem to ours, I will contact them to find out how they solved it. This means I don’t have to spend countless hours struggling with something that may be easily solved by asking the right questions.

What is your most memorable travel experience?

Watching the New Year’s fireworks at the Munich Olympic park (Olympiapark München!). The sky was lit up with incredible colors, and everyone was singing and cheering. I couldn’t have started the year in a better way!
