Expedia TAAP "Summer Book to Win” Promotion

By entering the Prize Draw, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (these "Terms and Conditions"). Promotional materials relating to the Prize Draw, including all information on how to enter the Prize Draw, also form part of these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict between any terms referred to in such promotion materials and these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions take precedence.

1. The promoter of this Prize Draw is Expedia Inc., with registered office at 111 Expedia Group Way West, Seattle, WA 98119, USA ("Expedia ").
   
   
2. Participants must: (i) be at least 18 years old; (ii) be legally resident within the United Kingdom, (Northern Ireland excluded) (iii) be an employee of a travel agency that is a member of Expedia’s Travel Agencies Affiliate Programme (see www.expedia.co.uk/travelagents) (“TAAP”); (iv) have an Expedia account that is active or has been activated during the Promotion Period (as defined below); (v) have been invited by their employer to register as one of their travel agents under the programme and must have registered an Expedia Access account accordingly; (vi) during the Promotion Period, click the promotion opt-in link sent via email (https://expediapartnersolutions.com/book-to-win-uk-2021) or enter the required details in the new agent joiner page (https://expediapartnersolutions.com/jointaap-book-to-win-uk-2021); and (vii) make at least one Eligible Booking (as defined below). Participants must not enter this Promotion if they do not have their employer's approval to do so or if entry to the Promotion would breach their employer's policies regarding entry into third party promotions or any other rules they are bound by as part of their employment. Employees and agents of Expedia or any of its subsidiary or affiliated companies and their immediate families and members of their households, and anyone otherwise connected with operation or fulfilment of the Prize Draw are not eligible to take part. Expedia reserves the right to require participants to prove that they are eligible to enter the Prize Draw. If the winner is found to be ineligible, Expedia reserves the right to award the prize to another participant and to require the return of any prize already awarded.
   
   
3. The Prize Draw commences at 00:01 UK time on 01/04/2021 and the Eligible Entries (as defined below) will be received by 11:59 UK time on the closing date of 31/08/2021 (“Promotion Period”).
   
   
4. In order to receive an entry to the Prize Draw Participants who entered the Promotion as provided above must book a lodging booking (hotel or vacation rental) on TAAP between 01/04/2021 and 31/07/2021 with the travel to be completed, i.e. check out occurred, by August 31, 2021 (“Eligible Booking”). Participants will receive an entry for each Eligible Booking (“Eligible Entry”).
   
   
5. The Prize Draw will be promoted on (i) https://travelweekly.co.uk/, (ii) https://www.ttgmedia.com/ and iii)https://www.travelmatters.co.uk/
   


6. The prizes are ten (10) Fortnum & Mason Hampers, tiered in three prize categories:
   (i) 1 top hamper (value £750 - The Monarch Hamper - Fortnum & Mason)
   (ii) 4 medium hampers (value £500 each - The Globetrotter Hamper - Fortnum & Mason)
   (iii) 5 smaller hampers (value £250 each - The Celebration Hamper - Fortnum & Mason)
   
   (“Prizes”)
   The total value of the Prizes is £4000.
   
   
7. The winners of the Prize Draw will be chosen at random from all Eligible Entries. Prize category one (1) will be drawn first, followed by prize category two (2) and finally prize category three (3). The Prizes to be won as part of this Promotion may be considered a taxable benefit to the winner. The winner will be directly responsible for accounting for and paying to their local tax offices any tax liability and National Insurance contributions arising in respect of their prize. Expedia will not account any National Insurance or other tax liability arising from this Promotion.
   
   
8. Entries submitted by any other means will not be accepted: only those submitted via the official method of entry. Use of script, macro or any automated system to enter the Prize Draw is prohibited and entries made (or which appear to have been made) using any such system may be treated as void. Any illegible, incomplete or fraudulent entries will be rejected.
   
   
9. The Prizes awarded to participants as part of this Prize Draw will be sent to the winners via the Discover the World UK, with registered office at 403, 1-45 Durham St, Vauxhall, London SE11 5JH, United Kingdom. The winner is personally responsible for any personal or incidental expenses and any VAT, national and/or local tax liabilities incurred in claiming or using the prize. The prizes to be won as part of this Prize Draw may be considered a taxable benefit to the winners. Recipients of prizes will be directly responsible for accounting for and paying to their local tax offices any tax liability and National Insurance contributions arising in respect of their prizes. Expedia will not account any National Insurance or other tax liability arising from this Prize Draw. The prize is as stated and is non-exchangeable and non-transferable. There is no cash or other alternative to the prize in whole or in part. By participating in the Prize Draw, participants agree that the prize is awarded on an "as is" basis, and that neither Expedia nor any of its subsidiary or affiliated companies, make any representations or warranties of any nature with respect to the prize.
   
   
10. The winners will be notified no later than 15/09/2021 by e-mail, which will be sent to the e-mail account they have registered under the Expedia TAAP. The winner may be required to submit valid identification before receiving their prize. The prize will be sent to the winner by post to a postal address within the UK notified by the winner in advance. If any e-mails to the winner are returned as undeliverable or the winner refuses or is unable to provide an eligible postal address for receipt of their prize by 30/09/2021, Expedia reserves the right to conduct a further random draw to award their prize to another participant. If any of the winners has not claimed the prize by the date specified in the notification of winning, Expedia reserves the right to conduct a further random draw to award the prize to another participant.
    
    
11. In the event that, for reasons beyond Expedia’s reasonable control and not related to the winner, Expedia is unable to award the prize as described in these Terms and Conditions, Expedia reserves the right to award a prize of a similar nature and an equivalent value, or at its sole discretion, the cash value of the prize. In the event of a printing or other error resulting in there being more winners than prizes for the Prize Draw, Expedia reserves the right at any time to allocate the available prize through a further draw or to divide the prize or the value of the prize between the winners of the Prize Draw.
    
    
12. The provision of the prize does not imply endorsement by Expedia of Fortnum and Mason or any other third parties concerned in any way with the Prize Draw. Any complaints or queries relating to the use of the prize should be directed to Fortnum and Mason.
    
    
13. By entering the Prize Draw, participants agree to have their names featured in publicity materials relating to the Prize Draw without further reference, payment or other compensation. Details of the winner will also be made available to participants and the public on request by sending an email to taexpediauk@expedia.com no later than 30/09/2021.
    
    
14. Expedia will collect and process participants' personal information in order to conduct the Prize Draw and it will be shared with Expedia's agents to the extent necessary for the prize to be delivered to the winner. If participants do not provide any of the mandatory information requested when entering and taking part in the Prize Draw, they may not take part in the Prize Draw. Participants' names and other personal details from their entry to the Prize Draw will be collected and stored by Expedia and held in accordance with the applicable privacy policy in place from time to time (see https://expediapartnersolutions.com/privacy-policy).
    
    
15. Expedia reserves the right to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the Prize Draw in whole or in part, at its sole discretion, if it believes the Prize Draw is not capable of being conducted as specified within these Terms and Conditions or in the event of a virus, a computer bug or unauthorized human intervention or any other cause that is beyond the reasonable control of Expedia that could corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or normal course of the Prize Draw. Neither Expedia nor any of its subsidiary or affiliated companies are responsible for any condition, circumstances, losses, failures or delays caused by events beyond its or their control such as (but not limited to) the acts or defaults of any supplier selected by Expedia to provide the prize or otherwise that may cause the Prize Draw to be disrupted or corrupted, or that may lead to loss or damage of the prize in transit to the winner.
    
    
16. Save where it has been negligent, Expedia will not be responsible for any damage, loss or injury resulting from participants' entry into the Prize Draw or their acceptance and/or use of the prize, or for technical, hardware or software failures, lost, faulty or unavailable network connections or difficulties of any kind that may limit or prohibit their ability to participate in the Prize Draw. Expedia will not be responsible for any lost, damaged, defaced, incomplete, illegible or otherwise unreadable entries. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt by Expedia of any entries. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall in any way limit Expedia's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for any other matter where liability may not as a matter of law be limited.
    
    
17. Any participant who enters or attempts to enter the Prize Draw in a manner, which in Expedia's reasonable determination is contrary to these Terms and Conditions or by its nature is unjust to other entrants (including without limitation tampering with the operation of the Prize Draw, cheating, hacking, deception or any other unfair playing practices such as intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or Expedia and/or any of its agents or representatives) may be rejected from the Prize Draw at Expedia's sole discretion. Furthermore, where such actions have significantly impaired the Prize Draw, Expedia may, at its sole discretion, add further stages to the Prize Draw as it deems reasonably necessary in order to resolve any problems arising as a result of such actions.
    
    
18. All Expedia's decisions in relation to the Prize Draw are final and Expedia will not enter into any correspondence with participants.
    
    
19. These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear any dispute or claim arising in association with the Prize Draw or these Terms and Conditions.
