Expedia Partner Solutions and Gimmonix collaborate to bring more hotel supply to travel agents in the Middle East

Jan 23, 2018

Expedia Affiliate Network (EAN), the B2B brand of Expedia group, announced that it will bring its competitive rates and availability for more than 350,000 hotel accommodations to technology specialist, Gimmonix, and their Travolutionary travel partners in the Middle East and around the world.

Gimmonix, a rapidly growing technology company offering cutting-edge products and optimisation services to its travel partners, is providing EAN with access to Travolutionary, the company’s supply aggregation and distribution platform. The new strategic relationship will broaden and deepen hotel supply offered through Travolutionary, particularly in the Middle East.

Alfonso Paredes, Vice President, Sales EMEA and LATAM, EAN brand, says: “Gimmonix’s technology has allowed us to reach and serve more travel partners, particularly in the Middle East, where we know that there is specific demand for a wider breadth and depth of accommodation options.”

As part of the agreement, EAN will also benefit from access to Gimmonix’s leading hotel and room mapping product, Mapping.Works, which tracks, measures and facilitates hotel supply mapping across distribution networks. The product will be offered to selected EAN partners as an initial test.

Paredes continues: “We ran a competition, called ‘Mapathon’, as part of our research into the best mapping technologies available. We chose Mapping.Works for our initial test due to their ability to accurately map inventory at 98, 7%, far above the industry average of 65%.

“We are excited to be working with Gimmonix to better meet our partners’ needs.”

Andrew Spektor, CEO, Gimmonix, says: “We’re thrilled to offer our travel partners access to EAN’s competitive rates and availabilities. We know that travellers are looking for quality, attractive rates and more choice at popular destinations across the globe, which is what EAN provides. We’re also excited to provide EAN’s partners with our optimised mapping solution, Mapping.Works, giving them confidence that hotel supply is correctly mapped and available for purchase.”
