EventBlocks.com announces partnership with Expedia Affiliate Network

Apr 20, 2015

EventBlocks, a comparison site for hotel rates at large events, announces its partnership with Expedia® Affiliate Network (EAN), a division of Expedia, Inc., one of the world’s largest online travel companies. The deal will see EAN powering EventBlocks’ inventory when searching for event hotel bookings.

EventBlocks currently features over 7,500 events throughout the United States, with plans to expand to over 20,000 worldwide by the end of the year. EAN’s API allows EventBlocks users to compare private event rates side-by-side with other nearby hotels to help travelers find options with lower rates or better ratings.

“We are extremely excited to be working with EAN. At its core, EventBlocks is about empowering choice, and EAN’s access to extensive inventory will give our users seamless access to the world’s best hotels” remarks Greg Young, founder of EventBlocks. “From our extensive research, we’ve found that the ‘group rates’ advertised by many large events are seldom the best option available. At over 90% of events in major U.S. cities, we’ve been able to find a cheaper rate within walking distance, often with savings up to 50%. This new partnership now allows travelers to compare all of these options in one place.”

Erik Hobbs of EAN expresses, “EAN is proud to be in partnership with EventBlocks, and we look forward to a long lasting fruitful relationship.”
