Ariane Gorin, EPS President, shortlisted as Business Leader of the Year

Ariane Gorin, President of Expedia Partner Solutions (EPS) brand, has been shortlisted for the Women in IT Awards in the Business Leader of the Year category.

The Business Leader of the Year award will celebrate a female leader of or within a technology company, who has demonstrated outstanding business leadership over the last 18 months. With more than 20 categories, the Women in IT Global Awards Series is the world’s largest tech diversity event, celebrating the achievements of women in IT and identifying new female role models.

Ariane Gorin is one of two women on Expedia Group’s executive leadership team and previously served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Expedia Affiliate Network (EAN) brand for three years. Through her strong leadership and focus on building a partner-centric approach, EAN was one of Expedia Group’s fastest growing brands. As the President of Expedia Partner Solutions brand, Gorin oversees Expedia Group’s B2B division which brings Expedia Group’s rich travel supply to thousands of partners worldwide. She is a major advocate for gender equality at Expedia Group and in the technology industry as a whole, introducing programmes to support employees returning to work after maternity or paternity leave. Gorin’s commitment to gender equality is also evident in the fact that 54% of her Executive Leadership Team are female. 

Gorin says: “I am very proud to have been shortlisted for this award, and hope that through the Women in IT awards we will create visibility of strong female leaders who can inspire more women to pursue careers technology. The technology industry still has a long way to go in achieving gender balance. Balance and inclusion is important because having diverse voices leads to a more creative workplace, and a more creative workplace leads to stronger innovation and better problem-solving.”

The Women in IT Awards ceremony will be held on 30 January 2019 at Grosvenor House, London.
