What area of EPS do you work in?
I work as a Data Architect in the Data Technology team. In the last year, we have been working on building a new scalable and highly available Data Platform leveraging Cloud technologies; this is going to help our internal and external users on taking faster data-driven decisions.
What do you enjoy most about working at EPS?
I joined EPS in 2013 and I have always been impressed by the iterative and incremental development approach to deliver projects. At Expedia Group, you are also encouraged to shape your role and move across teams. In my case, I went through different roles within Analytics, Product and Technology teams.
Tell us about a project you are most proud of and why?
The project I am most proud of is SURE, which is an analytical and reporting tool where business users are able to slice and dice business performance metrics related to our EPS affiliates. On this project, I had the opportunity to work on the full product lifecycle: from concept to realization.
Tell us about a person who has supported your development? And how?
It is very hard to mention just a single person during my 5 years at EPS. I am very grateful to my managers and how they support my career development with clear and transparent feedback. It is with their help if now I am TOGAF and AWS Solution Architect certified.
How does EPS support your work/life balance?
EPS supports work life balance giving the flexibility to work from home and adjust working hours when needed.
What is your most memorable travel experience?
Scotland is definitely one of my memorable travel destinations, being able to play in the Old Course at St. Andrews, the Home of Golf!
