What area of EPS do you work in?
I work as a software engineer in the engineering team at EPS.
What do you enjoy most about working at EPS?
We work together as a team to solve problems, we help and motivate each other, we’re always ready to learn new things. I enjoy working in a continuously evolving environment with lots of new technologies and opportunities.
Tell us about a project you are most proud of and why?
My team works with the data science team on productionizing machine learning by building and running services that support A/B testing or model deployment and scoring. Last year, we built a scoring service for models trained with Apache Spark and scikit-learn using an open source library called MLeap. Through this work, I’ve also had the opportunity to make my first open source contributions, an experience from which I’ve learned a lot.
Tell us about a person who has supported your development? And how?
My manager Daryl has been very supportive; he is a sound source of advice and guidance and helps me progress in my career.
How does EPS support your work/life balance?
I try to take advantage of the combination of wellness and travel benefits at EPS that make it possible to take well-deserved breaks, reduce stress and recharge. The option to work remotely when needed also helps me accomplish a reasonable work-life balance.
What is your most memorable travel experience?
Iceland is full of exciting activities and breathtaking landscapes. The options are endless, you can witness geysers, waterfalls, glaciers, volcanoes and unusual stretches of black sandy beaches. Would love to go back and explore more!
