Expedia TAAP “Summer book to win” Promotion

The following terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern the Expedia “Summer book to win” campaign.

  1. Dates/Eligibility: The Expedia TAAP “Summer book to win” campaign (“Promotion”) begins at 12:01 AM PT, 1 April, 2021 and ends at 11:59 PM PT, 31 July 2021 (“Promotion Period”). Promotion is open to any travel agent in the United States who has registered for Expedia’s Travel Agent Affiliate Program (“TAAP”) with a valid Expedia US PoS TAAP tracking code and who are at least eighteen (18) years old (each, an “Eligible Participant”). Employees of Expedia, Inc. as well as the immediate family (spouse, partner, parents, legal guardian, siblings, and children) and household members of those employees are not eligible to enter the Promotion.

  2. Agreement to Terms and Conditions: By entering the Promotion, you indicate your full and unconditional agreement to (a) these Terms and (b) Sponsors’ (as defined below) decisions as to the eligibility or disqualification of Eligible Participants and Eligible Bookings (as defined below) and as to compliance by any person with these Terms, which are final and binding. Winning a Prize (as defined below) is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.

  3. How to Enter:
    1. Expedia US TAAP Members: Eligible Participant opts into the Promotion by entering the email address associated with his/her Expedia TAAP account in the “opt in” field at https://expediapartnersolutions.com/jointaap-book-to-win-usa-2021 or by clicking on the invitation link https://expediapartnersolutions.com/book-to-win-usa-2021 within a promotion email sent from Expedia TAAP.

  4. Eligible Bookings:: An Eligible Participant who makes a booking of a hotel or any other accommodation between April 1, 2021 and June 30, 2021 with travel to be completed by 31 July, 2021 (“Eligible Booking”) is eligible to receive an entry per booking into the prize draw (“Eligible Entry”). There is no limit to the amount of Eligible Entries per Eligible Participant into the prize draw, each Eligible Booking represents one (1) entry into the prize draw. Cancelled bookings are not Eligible Bookings and will not receive any Eligible Entry.

  5. Prizes

    One (1) Visa gift card with value $3000 USD
    Two (2) Visa gift cards with value $500 USD
    Four (4) Visa gift cards with value $250 USD.

    (“Prizes”) The use of the gift cards is subject to terms and conditions applicable to the gift card as stipulated by the gift card provider. No gift cards will be redeemed for cash.

    The Prizes will be awarded to randomly selected Eligible Participants from Eligible Entries received during the Promotion Period. The approximate retail value (“ARV”) of the Prizes is US $5000.

  6. Selection of Winner: The Grand Prize winner will be selected on or about August 15, 2021 from among all Eligible Entries received during the Promotion Period by Sponsor or its agent, Discover the World, 7020 E Acoma Dr. Scottsdale, Arizona 85254 (“Agent”). Cancelled bookings will not count as Eligible Entries. Odds of winning depend on the number of Eligible Entries received. Winners will be notified by e-mail and required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability and Publicity Form within ten (10) days of the date notice or attempted notice is sent to claim his/her prize. Noncompliance will result in disqualification and selection of alternate winners. All prizes and drawing for this Promotion will be conducted by Agent, whose decision is final in all matters relating to the Promotion. If potential winners do not respond, Sponsor is unable to contact a potential winner, or a potential winner is not in compliance with these Terms, prizes will be forfeited, and at Sponsor’s discretion, an alternate winner may be notified.

  7. Conditions: In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Promotion is impaired in any way, including, but not limited to fraud, virus, or other technical problem, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, either: (a) suspend the Promotion to address the impairment and then resume the Promotion in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Terms; or (b) award the prizes at random from among the eligible entries received up to the time of impairment. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the operation of the Promotion, violates these Terms, or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any person who seeks to undermine the legitimate operation of the Promotion. Failure by Sponsor to enforce any term of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Proof of sending any communication to Sponsor by mail shall not be deemed proof of receipt of that communication by Sponsor. In the event of a dispute as to the owner of an entry, the authorized account holder of that code used to enter will be deemed to be the entrant. The Promotion is subject to federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.

  8. Release and Limitations of Liability: By participating in this Promotion, the winner grants the Sponsors permission to use their name and likeness for advertising and future promotional purposes without additional compensation (except where prohibited). Winners are liable for any tax liability accruing as a result of this Promotion. No transfer, assignment or substitution of a prize is permitted by any winner. By participating in this Promotion, you agree to release and hold harmless Expedia, its officers, directors, employees, and agents (the "Released Parties") from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in this Promotion, or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Promotion; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) lost, late, postage-due, misdirected, or undeliverable mail; (e) errors in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries; or (f) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from your participation in the Promotion or acceptance, receipt use or misuse of any prize. You further agree that in any cause of action, the Released Parties' liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Promotion, and in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorney's fees. You waive the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, incidental, consequential, direct, or indirect damages. By entering this Promotion, you acknowledge that you have read and understood and agree to be bound by these Terms.

  9. Disputes: You agree that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Promotion or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in the State of Washington. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Terms, your rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor(s) in connection with the Promotion, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Washington, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Washington or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Washington.

  10. Winners' Names: For a list of the names of the prize winners, send an email to support@expedia-agents.com. Winners’ names will be sent after the promotion has ended on July 30, 2021 and prizes have been awarded. Requests for winners’ names must be received by August 15, 2021.
